Tried very hard to use the club but in the end decided to trade it in. If you dont struggle with hitting fairways I would go with something else, because i know their are drivers that hit the ball further than the ft-i. It’s quite loud at impact but the ball flies off it. The square head seems to help start the backswing better, and it has a great feel to it. If I turn on it some, I can end up with a pulled straight shot i. However, the height of the clubface bothered me.

I bought myself a second hand 11 degree ft-5 with draw bias and today drove one yards I kid you not. Modified version of properietary VFT Technology in which face thicknesses are designed specifically to maximise performance under the new USGA characteristic time test, resulting in a larger, more spin ftt5 face for increased ball speed on shots hit all over the face.
The FT-5 went longer, but I could really spray them wildly offline with a poor swing. Sell Your Golf Clubs.
I hit the second on the heel and the ball leaked a bit to the right. Today, you can buy them just about anywhere for bucks. I would fh5 this club to anyone who needs a little forgiveness off the tee and the draw edition will do wonders.
Wow, best mistake that could have happened. Slicing the ball can come and go, and you can fiddle with the weights when you are hitting the ball straighter….

This club is amazing. I purchased the draw version because i slice my drives sometimes.
Callaway has made a shaft switch with these new drivers, moving from the Aldila NVS that was the stock offering on the FT-3 to a pair of shafts from Fujikura. However, the FT-i has a slightly longer shaft, which is not a good thing to have when one struggles with control. People thought I was swinging a Volkswagon on a shaft and now that club looks so small…and the two ball putter was thought to be an odd looking club, too.
I hit a power fade….
Callaway FT-i/FT-5 Driver Review (Clubs, Review) – The Sand Trap
I gave the straight FT-i a try on a demo day a few weeks ago. Your email address will not be published.
The FT-5 also has a wider, more symmetric face area and a sleeker profile. For example, on one driving hole I hit two drives with the FT-i. Alternate the two clubs…and you will find your answer. I think this is the shape of clubs to come or gopf least this will be more accepting.

Fancy technology, and stupid salespeople. Will it cure your slice? I have a wicked slice and have to close the club face and step forward with my left foot to keep the ball from slicing. I found I could really go after it and not worry about sending it OB right. Keep keeping it in the short stuff! A lack of control and direction has now been replaced with a gentle and controllable fade yes, fade – it won’t magically acllaway a dodgy swing into a perfect draw every time!

Will be buying from you again. I have not seen the distance loss as some people have seen. The square head seems to help start the backswing better, and it has a great feel to it.
Played my first round with it, and I made the right decision. Rate this product Select rating 1 star rubbish 2 stars poor 3 stars average 4 stars very good 5 stars outstanding You must select a rating.
